I am assuming you are referring to Qantas. I think it’s too early, there should be plenty of availability esp when the A 380 service starts. BTW has anyone noticed how stingy CX is on Business award bookings from MEL and Sydney?They are just not releasing the seats.

Give QF a call. I've found that the availability is limited but they will be able to have a complete look at all options.

What status do you have? If you're using the QFF program you should note that QF releases seats for high status members first.

I can get J/F award on EK metal only for 27th October. Y is available on QF flights.

For QF metal (i.e. QF operated flights) Bronze now won’t see seats till 310 days out from what I’ve read. This gives those with status a priority period to get seats. Bronze can pick from what’s left (if anything).
Do you have an eligible family member with status?
