Cathay Pacific lounge choice in Brisbane

I recently had the misfortune of visiting the new Brisbane Qantas International lounge prior to my mid-night/early morning CX156 flight to Hong Kong.

To say I was disappointed does not sum up the experience.  I suppose it does not help that the flight departure was delayed two-hours, but that lounge is useless; poor food offered (some sort of stew with oil floating on the top, old salad, etc.) poor drinks offering (no champagne) and lacklustre disinterested staff.

I suppose my problem is that I was comparing to Cathay's excellent lounges in Hong Kong and across the globe.  The Qantas lounge I would rate 2 out of 10.

You're obviously unfamiliar with the previous BNE lounge! The new one is a HUGE improvement. Comparing it against the CX lounges is a bit unfair.

Hi Scotgoat, do you have a question on this relevant to Cathay Pacific? You've posted the same thing in the Qantas forum too, and we generally merge duplicate topics.

I think this is just a continuation of Scotgoat's unhappy rant. May be merged/removed. Cheers Chris
