A couple of months ago I remember reading somewhere (possibly on ausbt) that you can physically check in at the airport 24 hours prior to your QANTAS flight.
I can't remember if this is for domestic or international.
Did I dream about this because I can't seem to find the article anymore.
From own experience I know that Sydney is not a 24-hour airport. For example, if one takes an evening flight from CBR to SYD to connect with the 6am EK flight the next morning, one cannot check luggage through to the final destination, as "Sydney closes down overnight and baggage cannot be stored overnight". In other words, in such a scenario one may get the boarding passing in CBR up to and including the final destination, but one has to collect one's luggage in Sydney, overnight and check the luggage in again the next morning.

Are you confusing this with all-day check-in which isn't necessarily the same thing?

Are you confusing Sydney's all-day check-in with Singapore's 24-hour check-in?
