I still have a bunch of BA exec club points from when I lived in Canada but seem to struggle to use them for reward flights. Does anyone have any tips for using points for reward flights or for transferring these to another OW partner - Ie Qantas.
You can't transfer them to Qantas nor would you really want to. For example a SYD-MEL one way in business cost 16,000 QF points or just 9,000 BA points. It is so easy to book flights using points on their website.
BA redemption for short-haul European flights is pretty good, and taxes are lower compared to QF short haul reward flights. I'd save them until you are planning a flight from London to somewhere in Europe.
Alternatively try redemption between Australia and Japan (flying JAL), again taxes are lower compared to QF.
