When are qantas releasing J award seats? No J inventory at 353 days out!

I have noticed that of late Qantas do not seem to be releasing any J seats at 353 days out, only Y. I spoke with the premium helpline and they confirmed that seat releases are now being staggered.There also seems o be no I inventory 353 days out so award requests are denied. Does anyone know when QFF are releasing J inventory as an award or do I just need to do a seat alert on expert flyer?

What status do you have? Seats are released for high status travellers first and low status travellers can access what’s left later on.

I had this problem looking for J and F seats from USA to Australia at the end of January 2019. I was on every day trying to snag DFW to SYD in F, but also looking at the LA options. Called the call center and they didn’t seem to know what was going on, all they could say was they haven’t been released. Cathay had J availability from all their US ports at the same time so I ended up booking with them. Kept checking till 340 days ahead and never saw anything. I did LAX to MEL in F same time year before and got a seat, and I’m platinum.

I also looked for points seats in J out of Johannesburg to SYD on first and subsequent days available. No J seats for ANY day
