More of a VA person dont really redeem with SIA. Can someone please explain to me what is the difference between the Saver and the Advantage tickets when it comes to redeeming miles?
It really comes down to different availability saver fares are harder to get but cheaper and advantage fares easier to get but more expensive however there are also a few notable differences.
Saver Awards / Advantage Awards
Change of Flight - US$25 / US$0
Redeposit of miles (Cancel ticket) - US$75 / US$50
Baggage Allowance - 30kg / 35kg
Seat Selection - Standard Only / Foward Zone and Standard
Aside from that, they're both the same service, seat, and plane.

There's one more difference: the number of free stopovers.
Saver: no free stopovers on one-way trips, one free stopover on return trips.
Advantage: one free stopover on one-way trips, two free stopovers on return trips.
the main point of difference is that saver can have less stop overs. But in reality the biggest difference is that there is much more advantage standard award availability
Book early enough and you can have saver redemptions.
Book later and you have to use more points.
Better than no award availability, like QFF and others.
I have a trip in June to FRA for work, found saver on the way there and advantage on the return...on the dates I wanted and to the city I wanted.. can't beat SQ for award availability imo

I think the biggest difference is with Advantage you can nearly always get confirmed seats 2 and from, where as Saver often involves a wait list...

Awesome! Thanks guys I thought it was like Virgin Rewards or Any Seat! I guess not. I think that is quite greedy of SIA but most airlines are greedy!
