Having a high balance is nice, until the program changes and a big chunk of your points lose their worth and value. ;) I'm quite happy with my mere four-figure QFF points balance as I tend to keep spending my points as soon as I have enough for a flight I want to take, but it certainly would be nice to have enough for multiple RTW journeys in first class, haha!

Thats a good point. I have always had the thought that I should save up as much as I can so one day I can just enjoy holidays without worrying too much about cost. But I didn't think about devaluation at all as they do get devalued more and more often now. Perhaps I should start using more points on holidays now rather than wait.
I think its good to strike a balance between flights and upgrades using points and status credit and points earning flights. Plus you want to have at least a few points in reserve in case you need a new toaster ;)

I was wondering if Qantas has ever published a list of the most QFF points held by an individual...does anyone know the highest balance?
