I’m flying with my Son to London via Singapore all the way on QF metal. In March I used points to advance select seats and used 9000 points for the Sin to Lon sector. All good. Now I’m trying to do the same for the Mel to Sin sector and it only offers credit or debit, but not points, to pay it. Contacted Qantas on their chat tool, and spent an hour explaining it. No resolution, now it’s escalated. Agent was at a loss to explain. What could be wrong?

Just checking you're logged in prior to managing the booking?

Aside from that they did some upgrades over the weekend that didn't work and have broken several components of the Qantas Frequent flyer site. This could be the reason... I'd ask on twitter as they'd have a better understanding then the chat support.

I just got the answer from Qantas. If you have already used points to select seats on one of your sectors, they won’t allow you at a later point to use points again for another sector in the same booking. Dumb rule!
