Just found a curious quirk in Virgin's 'improved' website. It appears that most of the destination cities in Asia have gone "missing". Basically when you try to select a departure city in Asia you are only able to select from a range of cities in China along with Denpasar. There is no Singapore, for example.
Was trying to make a FF booking on SQ from SIN to KUL, but its a bit tricky to use SQ if you can't select SIN!
I have spoken to Velocity/Virgin and they have escalated it internally. Bookings can be made over the phone, so its not as though they broke up with SQ and forgot to tell us.
On the SQ website I can no longer book flights to Australian cities where SQ do not fly. For example, I used to be able to book Singapore to Hobart with the Melbourne/Hobart leg with Virgin. No longer. Spoke to SQ and they just said make two separate bookings.
From what I’ve been seeing, you cant book any intra-Asia flights on the VA website.
Since being based in HK, I’ve tried to book codeshared flights with either SQ or HX in order to boost my Virgin segments to maintain gold, but the website shows nothing.
The new Velocity site is terrible. Seems like 'nice pictures' was prioritised over user experience and flow. What was an ugly but functional site is now lovely but horrible. Oh, couldn't even load flights the other day either....

Their website is now exactly what Virgin America's website was like. The website developers must have thought their customers were simpletons/kindergarten kids in that every step of the process was big on meaningless graphics and (EXTRA) large fonts. I felt like I was flipping through a children's picture book rather than booking a ticket! Hey, I wonder how Virgin America is doing these days?!
The new website is broken in all sorts of ways. The navigation doesn't allow you to get to several sections that used to be useful, and things like the mileage calculator and support links are stuffed.

I have had the same experience with the mileage calculator. I sent them an email which they replied to with 'no, not broken, can't replicate etc so clear your cache'. Well, I've done that and I still can't get it to work on IE, Chrome or Safari. I wish they would get their website experience sorted - it is one of bug bears with VA

You oddly also can't book reward flights between Hong Kong and Singapore on the Velocity site now, and Singapore Airlines certainly flies that route!

I had issues with this on the old site too. Couldn’t book a multi-city if I wanted a stopover in Singapore on my way to Japan, cash or points.
