Amex have just announced improved benefits to platinum charge card including afr subscription and accor membership at an increased annual fee ( travel credit increased to 450). Hopefully Centurion will follow?

AFR subscription isn't new as far as I know; I have had it with my card since I got it. Apparently Accor membership was already included in the past then revoked/removed - so now they are reinstating it. As a paying Accor member already I think these benefits make no real difference. Are there any others?

I can confirm as a Centurion member, we've had Accor Plus member for over a year now, and yes, AFR subscription is available too. :)

And the new platinum card is a metal card which is a nice point of difference. As an existing member you can upgrade before the expiry date which I’ve just done!

Or, you can request it through My Account online! I’ve changed all my supplementary’s cards now.

Amex Platinum Charge card new benefits are the Accor Plus membership and AFR subscription. I also had to enrol in Avis and Hertz programs again. Previously, the Accor benefit was Platinum membership that was terrific. Accor Plus gives a free night and is Silver status only. At least Amex is trying. I was becoming disappointed in their benefits value for the $12OO annual fee.

Only platinum. Accor Plus gives you discount on dining.
