My return flights from CHC to PER in December have been impacted by the 787-9 maintenance programme, and are now looking like being operated by the 777-200 (the leased ex SIA aircraft).
I had booked in Premium Economy and according to the booking am now up in Business so little win there.
On my Airpoints account though it is now showing estimated Airpoints/Status earn for the flights as 0 for each - anyone else having this issue on flights with equipment change? Should at least be earning the APD/Status for the original fare I'd have thought.
You will get the original status credits and points as if you'd booked Premium Economy. Enjoy the free upgrade.
I've flown on that aircraft in Economy and the IFE was limited (about 90 movies only) but in Business class working powerpoints exist so bring your own IFE/chargers.

Henrus is on the money there, you should get what you originally booked for, just make sure you hold onto your ticket and your original booking email - in case there's a little hiccup.
Thanks all - wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something! Still don't get why its showing no airpoint/status earn but i'll just monitor it and bring it up with AirNZ if it doesn't show up after I take the flights
