I had the most bizarre experience recently - whilst I was asleep in J, the FA had set up a full breakfast course over me and I unknowingly managed to tip the entire thing over because I had no idea it was there in the first place.

Which airline?
This was on Hong Kong Airlines, so I was sleeping flat and the flippy table they have on the A330 was more or less sitting at lower chest height.

I had it happen once on Suriname Airways. I didn’t tip it over when I woke but was puzzled to see it there.

Very weird. Most would either wake you up for breakfast service or just let you sleep until landing.

Should be the first question they ask, would you like to be woken up for your meal?

They did wake you, didn't they? Admittedly, tipping breakfast on you was not the best way of doing it, but I think they followed through.
