Has anyone flown from LA to Brisbane in premium economy?
We enjoyed our flight but a flight attendant was annoyed because she was eating in the galley whilst we were waiting for the business class toilets and told us that in premium economy we need to use the economy cabin toilets not the business class toilets.
She stated “You’re from premium economy aren’t you? Your toilets are located just behind you as we need to keep these ones free and average them out....
Does anyone have clarification on this?
Given the small amount of business class seats for the 3 toilets it seemed to make sense that the premium economy would use these toilets too.
This is one reason Qantas aren’t ready for project sunrise. This is an issue that has to be sufficiently managed on 20 hr flights & is why 300 passengers isn’t a good idea. They should be aiming for 160 people paying a premium.
But in the current scenario, business toilets should be for business passengers. 1 toilet for each 14 pax should be around the max ratio for business. Let PE in, and it's 1 to 23. QF has a 1 to 28 on some A330s they use internationally which is frustrating for high yield pax - not good enough.
Not sure why all the negative votes on the OP's post...
Qantas, when they unveiled their revolutionary Dreamliner, insisted that Premium Economy passengers would use the Business class toilets. The sign on the wall showing the toilet availability is even linked to the Business class toilets upfront but despite all this, it seems the crew never got the memo and on almost all flights they advise at the start of the flight that premium economy passengers use the toilets behind them.
Given they actively used this in the PR of the "amazing" Premium Economy seat it seems like quite a backflip and in away disappointing to some like the OP who are spending a lot more money for a so-called more "premium" experience.

It’s not that the crew “didn’t get the memo”, it’s that Qantas changed its policy not long before the aircraft started flying. I was on its first international flight (Melbourne-LA) and passengers were instructed to use the lavatories behind the cabin as part of the welcome from the flight attendants coming through the cabin.
The incorrect indicator light in the cabin was something we raised in our review of the inaugural flight - odd this hasn’t yet been fixed.
I have just flown MEL to LAX in PE. Once up in the air with the curtains drawn the PE cabin feels very isolated. No mention was made as to which toilets we should use, so it’s hard to know. I used both throughout the flight with no comment from crew. The toilet isssue is my main criticism of the 789.

No matter which can I wanted to use, I wouldn't be standing around next to a FA trying to get some rest and eat their meal.

If they're for business class, they're for business class. Use another loo :)

NZ does this right - 3 for J, 2 for PE, 6 for Y in the 777-300.

Your poll is an "A or B" question - but then you want us to answer "yes or no" !!!!!
