Received a letter from Diners last night (23/10) which was dated 19/10 advising Diners will no longer allow transfers to SPG, AA and Eva Air. Unbelievable that they would provide so little notice of these changes!
I cannot comment on the AA or EVA scenario with Diners Club transfers but .. given that SPG has been owned by Marriott for a considerable period of time, it could be feasible that since Marriott has now completed the merger of SPG Rewards with Marriott Rewards, that this is the reason for the Diners->SPG transfer termination. After all, Marriott has been publicly advising its members to merge their SPG accounts to Marriott Rewards for the past 6 months.
