A relatively easy perk would be reducing the Platinum retention from 1,200 to 600 status credits. As they effectively have reached gold already (ie 600 points) so another 600 to Platinum. This would at least set an achievable loyalty target for LTG members who may not fly as much as they use to.

I am a LTG and have been for a long time. the perks (such as they are) are not enough to stop me flying SQ where I don't get lounge access. Why not, simply SQ operate (out of Brisbane) the new A350's while Qantas still persist in Flying old worn out A330's with no leg room and my knees are up against the back or the seat in front. SQ has vastly superior leg room in the A350.

Are the 'perks' of LTG enough to keep flying QF? Not really...however, LTP would.

Access to the first lounge in Sydney and/or Melbourne is no incentive if you never travel internationally through either of those ports.

What about life time Platnum? What about the members that have already reached 14,000 status credits and are now in excess of 50,000? on another note what happens after P1? .......P2, P3? why not change it to “Diamond” or something catchy like “Beyond Platinum” ? thoughts anyone?

Its more than flying with QF its flying wth One World. Flying with QF gives more points for upgrades though
