I have a Business Saver redemption booking on hold until tomorrow. Its for PER-SIN-MAN-IAH, one way, with a paid stopover in MAN. The call centre agent quoted me 110,000 KF which is the same as what quoted on the online booking system, so thats fine. But the agent also presented me with SGD611 fees to pay which he said included the stopover fee ($100) and the airport taxes. That sounded quite a lot to me compared to whats quoted on the online system which was less than AUD100.
Does this SGD611 sound about right? Please share your experiences. Thank you!
you are going through a lot of airports so the fees while high are ok. I guess for that amount of flying, paying S$500 + the stop over fee, you are doing pretty well.
Just call them again and ask for split up of the fee, there is a possibility you are being charged a phone fee (which is not applicable when done online). I have done plenty of bookings over the phone where you have to point out your booking cannot be done online (if applicable) to avoid that fee. They are very reasonable.

I will try that again , thanks for your advice. When I first made the booking I reasoned with the agent that I shouldn’t be charged phone booking fee as Calling in is the only way to add the stopover. But he was either not very knowledgeable or not helpful at all.
I called and asked for the fee breakdown, and turned out that they ARE airport taxes (apart from the $100). The airport taxes in MAN came to a whopping SGD300 while the other are almost negligable.

$100 sounds insanely low, so I'd start there... But the others on here may know a lot more than I do.
