I'm looking to book a family holiday using Classic Rewards next Christmas but there are only Business Class reward seats being made available to and from Perth (and no, I'm not prepared to reward the kids with Business Class). Â I've checked as each new booking day ticks over and it is always the same. Yet other Australian city pairs have Economy reward seats available across that period. Â This doesn't seem fair for us Western Australians! Â What's going on QANTAS?
 Â
If anyone from QANTAS is reading this then perhaps you could look at leveling the playing field please. Â
Can anyone else suggest how I might effectively raise this gripe with the company?
AKL is a pain at the best of times, I have been trying to organise a trip from TSV - AKL with points for the family but once you put 2 + 2 in the list your options dissapear and in general terms once you get a 2 legged trip your options limit even further , which for those of us in TSV is every trip, I have had better luck breaking the trip into different segments, but that comes at a cost.
I'm having the same issue with classic reward economy seats from Aussie east coast to LAX at Christmas. No seats have been released (I'm gold). There were seats released up until December 10-12 depending on city and since then nothing. I've been checking the moment the next day opens on the calendar so I'm confident none have been released rather than missing out.
They are quite stingy with award space these days. Only way to combat this would be to be a Platinum One member and have any available seat turned into an award seat for you.

To help assist, where exactly are you looking at going and what is your level of status?

You won't necessarily see them online. Give them a call and there's a good chance seats will magically be available on your preferred flights.
