Just did Perth- Brisbane VA A330 " The Business ". Another virtually faultless service in all respects , could not fault it at all.
For the first time took advantage of the Lounge on arrival Brisbane as I had an hour and 20 minutes to wait for my Con-X-Ion bus to the Gold Coast.
Must say it was so nice to have a coffee and rest whilst waiting.
Good to see VA have introduced this very worth while touch.
No doubt in my mind that after quite a lot of J class travel on quite a few Airlines that VA is right up there with the best of them.
Way ahead of QF!

Just a shame that Virgin only operates the A330 on 2 services a week between PER and BNE.

When you use the arrivals lounge, do your bags get kept on the side of the carousel (assuming you checked a bag)?

Unfortunately it's only once a week now. PER-BNE on Saturdays and BNE-PER on Sundays.

Virgin is Fantastic! I usually do my flying with QF mainly due to OW alliance (Hadn't flown VA in about 6 years) but flew them SYD-HKG return, outbound in Y, inbound in J. Both flights were outstanding and they had a wide range of meals in both classes. The crew in J were very attentive and cheerful. One of the best flights I have ever had.

mspcooper. I left my baggage on the carousel and it was still merrily going around when I went to collect it about 45 minutes later. Does not seem to be any problem.
nix584. My flight was on Sunday 14th April 0730 Perth- Brisbane.
Yes , it is a great pity that we only have the one flight/ week to and from Perth.
One thing I did notice is that for about an extra $100 you can travel via Sydney and fly the A330 and when you consider the difference and the total cost it's not an awful lot.
Good to see the Airlines not gouging profits by increasing fares over Easter --NOT.
In some case they have gone up almost 50%.
Very poor practice and that toothless tiger the ACCC should have more power to stop this blatant money grab , same for fuel prices for motorists.
All these price rises just because it's Easter weekend!!!!!

What are you on about. Supply and demand. Nothing unusual or surprising at all.

Supply and demand is all very good and understandable but an increase of 50% surely could be construed as gouging. When there's NO demand we don't' see too many flight costs being reduced by 50%. Do you think it's fair to slug motorists an extra 20c/ ltr. just because it's Easter or school holidays?
All this aside I had a fabulous flight with VA/

I wouldn't do that. Far too easy for someone to grab your bag and walk off with it. No one is checking that the bag you collect is yours.

totally agree. IMO "The Business" on MEL-HKG is even superior to SQ A380 business class on MEL-SIN. The House lounge is better than SilverKris lounge at MEL airport, and Changi's Krisflyer Gold is a shame comparing to Club Autus at HKG.
