I received an email from Emirates a few days ago launching "industry first", "Just for you" offers on cash+miles and cabin upgrades. I've been playing around with the functionality and found that my cash+miles dollar value keeps changing for exactly the same flight... see attached screenshot comparisons a few days apart for exactly the same itinerary and fare (the website was updated in those few days...).
From what I can see, the cash+miles offer change is small saving $176.09 initially up to $176.14, but this is still the first time I've seen what looks like live pricing. I'd be curious to see if anyone else is seeing their dollar value change?
Flight details:
SYD-CHC one way
31st August 2019
Fare: Business Class Flex $766.68
You have to enter some dummy booking details to get to the cash+miles offer value on the payment page. And just for interests sake, my mileage upgrade offer to first on the Flex plus fare on the same day is 9,375....the same for anyone else?
It's only gone up $0.17 since last night... perhaps just currency fluctuations?
I know you booked in AUD but maybe the miles + cash rate is based in AED or something like that.
I thought the same as you to begin with. I then compared the change in my cash+miles “offer” vs. how much they are claiming I’m saving vs. The “standard” cash+miles rates and the % change in rates is not consistent which leads me to believe it’s not FX... what do you think?

Interesting, i've searched for the same period as you and chose the same fare, i'm getting a rate of 1.15c per point, what are you getting?

Very interesting, I have a balance of 17,423. If we use the latest “offer” value of $176.26, that gets me a value of 1.01c per point....
That essentially means I’m getting ~15% less value per point as a gold member vs. a blue member................?
