Hi all. Does anyone know if Qantas have changed their policy here? I recall that children under a certain age didn't previously qualify as 'guests' therefore I could take my wife in as my allowable guest and the 2 kids were also ok to accompany. (For reference QF Platinum). However when I look at the eligibility criteria on the website now I can only find reference to 'one allowable guest' and cant see anywhere that says kids don't count as a guest. This section of the website all looks different to last time I checked a couple of months ago so I am wondering if the policy may have changed?

For Qantas owned and operated lounges 2 children between 4 and 17 should be fine. See the children's access guide.

In over a decade I have never had an issue as Platinum with my partner with no status and 2 kids - but only at QF operated lounges. Completely different at co-lounges, Oneworld lounges etc.

And only when flying QF. On Oneworld flights Melbourne F lounge often deny entry but have had no problems in a Sydney.

Have had some success at other OW lounges but not without a rolling of the eyes and reference to the Qantas family policy from the gatekeeper.

I would roll my eyes too if I had to deal with a constant stream of people trying to get something they know they aren't entitled to, quite sad really.
