As China Eastern is not a One World member and it isn't a QF flight number then I doubt you would earn any points
Qantas has many airline partnerships outside the Oneworld alliance, and China Eastern is one of them. The distinction though is that when travelling with China Eastern on eligible fares, QFF members can only earn Qantas Points, as opposed to Qantas Points and status credits as when booking onto the Qantas codehare on the same flight.
Hi I have since found out that you will not receive any qantas points for a booking with China eastern in premium economy. Every other class even discount economy you would receive some points. This is because premium economy was not on any China eastern planes when the codeshare agreement was made.
Therefore I will join eastern miles to claim these points.

Hi
Would anyone be able to tell me if you are able to earn any qantas points flying on China eastern from Sydney to Shanghai?
The ticket was booked through a travel agent with a MU flight number and China eastern equipment in premium economy W class.
When I look on the qantas website partner airlines earn table. It doesn't mention W class or premium economy at all for China eastern.
Therefore it is a bit confusing and the China eastern website also does not have any information.
Thanks

I do wonder how long it would take QF to recognise W on MU as an eligible booking class though.
I guess Premium Economy is not even mentioned as a thing on MU's own website.. and they don't seem to think they have any A350s themselves..

My family traveled in Premium Economy on MU562/561 this July.
Miles were not accrued for my daughters' QF accounts.
I accrued all the miles under Delta Skymiles, which were 150%.
