If you're Australian based (as the majority of users of this site are), there is an effective Travel Ban and you're not going to be travelling anytime soon. If you are overseas then existing policies will still stand, subject to their original terms.
If you're asking, "will my Travel Insurer roll over my policy for free by 4 months to compensate me for the fact that I can't currently use it?", the answer would almost definitely be no! Nor, in my view, should they be expected to.

Can anyone comment on wether travel insurance ( multi trip) given since February we have been recommended not travel is being extended to compensate
Eg mine finishes in June will they offer extended 4 months
