Had a good look at Flight Radar24 today and viewed the whole world section by section and could only see ONE A380 flying and that was Emirates.
Such a sad sight , probably the most comfortable and largest passenger aeroplane ever built shot down by a microscopic bug!!
I was fortunate to have travelled a few times in the A380 in both First Class and Business and would say without any doubt whatever it was the quietest most comfortable of any aeroplane I have ever flown in in my 60 years of involvement with aviation!
The A350 comes a fairly close second but both are streets ahead of Boeing for passenger comfort.
What a sad time this is to see the demise of such a great aeroplane mostly destroyed by Covid-19.
I hope there will still be a few around again post Covid so I can once again enjoy this wonderous bird!!!
I have a feeling things will bounce back quickly once the bounce-back begins, and those airlines that have drawn down their fleets will be at a disadvantage. There will be a number of low-mileage A380's around so they may last well into the 2030's (I hope).
China Southern's A380s aren't dying off anytime soon and continue to operate with near full loads outbound from Sydney at the moment if you fancy a trip to Guangzhou...

Rod Emirates have said will keep theirs until the mid 2030s and I suspect Qantas will keep theirs until the early 1930s: seven years of flying after the refresh and C/D checks; allowing for a three year Covid induced absence.
patrickk Thanks for the heads up , I did already know that Emirates and QF will be flying theirs again soon.
The strange thing was that yesterday it was so sad and eerie seeing just the ONE A380 in the air.
I have been an avid follower and watcher of Flight Radar 24 and for may years have enjoyed just watching the enormous amount of air traffic flying around the world and seeing lots of A380's amongst them.
I guess it will be quite a long time before we see quite a few more in the air and sadly quite a few will never fly again.
That's a shame as as so many posters have said it is the most comfortable of all to fly in.
Mods. Should albert......'s post directly above be allowed in this forum. It's rather inappropriate and out of place I believe?
In addition to Rods comment: the post may be promoting illegal activity
I have reported this to the moderators. It is spam. Not only was it posted seven (7) times on ET, if you query the given phone number in Google, it come up with 128 instances of the same post text on multiple worldwide sites.
I'm completely astounded that this Forums moderators have ignored members request to take action about what we feel is a most inappropriate post in this thread by albert........
Surely they cannot allow this type of information that could be an invasion of privacy and indeed maybe a criminal activity to be allowed in this Forum.
I've seen posts deleted for minor incursions that have occurred and yet this remains.
Perhaps David could explain to us as to why it's left in this thread?

Why aren't the ET Mods. doing anything about removing that very inappropriate post by Albert........
I along with some other ET Members would have thought it would have been removed quite some time ago as this is not the place for such a post.
Can the Mods or David ell me why it's still there?

The question I have is just what on earth that post has to do with Executive Travelling?
Surely such a post has no place here and should be deleted by the moderators.
