Boeing private jets to get massive panoramic windows

Everybody loves the view from an airplane window, and soon there'll be a window to make the most of that vista.

It's the SkyView Panoramic Window, designed for Boeing's Business Jet family – so now you've got another option to consider when ordering your next private jet.

At 138cm (54.5") long and 49cm (19.5") high, the SkyView is about three times wider than a conventional window and almost half as tall.

The super-toughened acrylic windows are treated with an abrasion-resistant coating so the view always remains clear.

Boeing will be able to fit up to two pairs of the SkyView Panoramic Window in locations behind of the wing.

That final image just looks like someones used microsoft paint to add a white section where the windows are meant to be.

Now that would be a nice feature of the onboard lounges on commercial planes. Dare to dream right?

You never know, the ME3s might be interested seeing they race to out-do each other all the time. Especially now that you can't take any gadgets or even noise cancelling headphones onboard some of their flights (apart from your phone). They may need to find a different way to 'entertain' their 1st class pax.

I don't see the point.  The wealthy passenger will get a stunning view of the aircraft wing, an excellent view of the cloud formations, and for very brief periods when takeoff or landing they'll be able to see land.

Is this a April 1 teaser ?. Does remind me of the Ansett DC3 aircraft with similar windows the full length of the passenger cabin. The version was called the Viewmaster.

You too can.... be blinded while at your desk as the sun blasts into your retina

There's a reason my desk in the office doesn't face the window
