Following 18 months of renovations the Hilton Darwin hotel emerges with 236 upgraded guest rooms, a new lobby, refreshed entertainment areas and a new fitness centre, with a price tag for the works exceeding $10 million.
Now styled with light tiling, dark pure wool carpets, solid timber and leather furniture, the guest rooms and public areas take on a lighter and more contemporary feel – complemented by local artworks and muted wallpapers.
The city’s only five-star CBD hotel also boasts the city’s sole Executive Lounge, where guests on the Executive floors and Hilton HHonors Diamond members can work or relax throughout the day before retreating in the evening for drinks and canapés, and can join HHonors Gold cardholders for breakfast in the mornings.
Visitors can also again make use of the swimming pool which closed during the renovation works, along with five meeting rooms on a dedicated events floor and Mitchell’s Bar & Grill, the hotel’s seafood restaurant.
Hilton Darwin overlooks the Esplanade and is within walking distance of all major corporations and government offices, the Darwin Convention Centre, shopping and dining precincts and is roughly 15 minutes by car from Darwin Airport.
