Inside Fiji Airways' new Nadi Airport Premier Lounge

Inside Fiji Airways' new Nadi Airport Premier Lounge

Fiji Airways' new Premier Lounge at Nadi International Airport is now open to the airline's business class passengers, members of its Tabua Club and eligible Qantas frequent flyers.

Lighter, brighter and better-appointed, this is a welcome upgrade from the old lounge and more properly fitting for a flagship lounge at Fiji Airways' home port.

With room for 200 travellers, there should be plenty of space to go around.

Dining options include 'chef-inspired menus' from the buffet...

... barista-poured coffee and a cocktail bar, with Fiji Airways' signature cocktails mixed in the evenings...

... all of which can be enjoyed in the large dining area:

Also present is a 'Fiji Bean Cart' from which travellers can sample an array of local delicacies, and a pay-for-use spa, which will welcome both guests of the lounge and those without access.

A dedicated family area can be found here as well, with a fully-qualified Fijian nanny, a 'quiet zone', and a media room which doubles as a private meeting space.

Have some work to get through before your flight? Then head to the business zone where a number of iMacs stand ready, or connect to the WiFi using your own device, with charging outlets available throughout the lounge.

Or, just sit back and relax, for your final taste of Fiji Time before you depart.

The lounge welcomes the following guests:

  • Fiji Airways business class passengers on international flights
  • Fiji Airways Tabua Club members
  • Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold, Platinum and Platinum One frequent flyers prior to Fiji Airways flights (no access when flying Jetstar)
  • Priority Pass members travelling with any airline
  • Any other traveller flying with any airline for a fee of FJD$99 (A$62.50) paid at reception

Qantas Club members have no access to this lounge, unless covered by one of the other categories above.

Is the new lounge in the same footprint as the old Tabua Club?

Love it - particularly the tended bar. A great upgrade for Fiji.

David, do you happen to know if the AirNZ lounge is getting a revamp too, as part of the terminal upgrades?

The Air NZ lounge got an upgrade earlier. It's in the same design style as Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne now.

Does anyone know how many guests a QF Gold can bring into the lounge, and whether children count as guests? The T&C's on the Fiji Airways website only state the guest policy for Tabua club members, not QF members.

Hi MrT, when we last checked with Fiji Airways, the policy for Qantas Gold members was:

Must be travelling on a Fiji Airways (FJ) or Qantas (QF) flight for access. One guest allowed and must be travelling on the same flight.

Children aged under three years don't count as guests and can be brought into the lounge at no charge. Above this age, they're regarded as adults and treated as any other 'adult' guest.

Well done Air Pacific..great looking lounge. Now if you only used the A330 consistently out of Aus that would make it a real value proposition.

Hope someone can explain to the Nandi staff that Qantas Platiunim One members are aloud in when flying on Qantas as no one knew what the hell a QP1 was and I and the family were not allowed in, I asked to speak to the manager and was told sorry no manager as they were arguing to me that QP1 is a frequent flyer club member ship only....

I gave up and sat with all the others out of the lounge..

Qantas doesn't fly to Nadi - were you booked on Fiji Airways or Jetstar? If the latter, no frequent flyers have access.

Qantas code share with Fiji Airways. I booked on QF number and end up on Fiji Airways fight this year. I think Fiji Airways is pretty good. The new lounge looks much better than the old one!

We were one of the 1st to enter the lounge yesterday afternoon for the initial opening.

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Drinks were plentiful and a great range of food.
One of the best set out lounges I have seen in my travels. Well done :-)

Do they recognise Qantas Gold when flying inter~Pacific now? e.g. Nadi Apia? Old lounge they never would even if your FJ flight was on a Qantas ticket

Very rude service today, a warning to other Platinum QF frequent fliers that they only allow one guest and that includes young children, and they tried to make me pay FJD $99 for each of my 2 young children.
