InterContinental Kuala Lumpur hotel gets a five-star refresh

Just in time to mark this year's 70th anniversary of the InterContinental brand, the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur has emerged from the cocoon of its multimillion-dollar make-over.

The result? See for yourself.

A total of 132 Premier rooms and 130 Deluxe rooms – both of which measure 42m2 – have been recast in subdued 'earth tones' for a crisply contemporary look.

The Premier rooms feature soft and simple colour palettes including whites, blues and greys.

The refreshed Deluxe rooms also sport warm, relaxing tones with plush fabrics and furnishings.

One of the Malaysian capital's premier hotels, the InterContinental has always boasted a superb location, straddling the city's business and commercial districts and the shortest stroll away from the Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, as well as being adjacent to the lush greenery of the KLCC Park.

Very sexy makeover. Now if only Intercontinental could get to work on a room renovation for the Intercontinental Hong Kong because that place genuinely needs a room refresh...

The new lobby area and bar area look super sleek as well. Put it between this hotel and the St Regis for your next stops in KL!
