New Pullman Sydney Airport hotel to open in 2016

Sydney Airport will gain a five-star hotel in May 2016 with the opening of the new Pullman Sydney Airport.

Accor is trumpeting the 229-room Pullman Sydney Airport hotel as "the first internationally branded 5-star hotel to service Sydney Airport."

However, unlike the Rydges Sydney Airport it won't be located right at the terminal, but rather in a new commercial precinct to be developed on O'Riordan Street at Mascot.

The $100 million development project will also include office and retail facilities.

“Airports are no longer considered transport hubs, they are transforming into complete entities where hotels, conference centres, retail and office spaces co-exist" says Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer Simon McGrath.

In addition to the Pullman Sydney Airport's conference facilities and a gym, eligible guests – including Platinum members of Le Club Accorhotels – will be able to work or relax in the Executive Lounge.
