Visitors to Hong Kong can now enjoy the sunset while sipping Veuve Clicquot Champagne from a new ‘Sunset Lounge’ at the top of the highest hotel in the world: the city’s iconic Ritz-Carlton.
Situated on the 118th floor and some 490 metres above sea level, guests can hire a private cabana from which to enjoy 180 degree views of West Hong Kong – and of course – that spectacular sunset.
Cabanas also come with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rich, designed to be mixed with either cucumber, grapefruit peel, bell peppers or tea, along with ice.
Sunset packages start at HK$1,815 (A$316) including cabana hire, and can be combined with a separate HK$537 (A$94) tapas package offering tasty bites such as foie gras with dried figs and Port wine and a dried beef torteline with burrata cheese and truffle.
Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at +852 2263 2270 or via email to [email protected].

So with tapas (because face it, you need tapas with this) is A$410...
Not inexpensive but I bet it would be fun! I'd do this. Just once. Just because. I've stayed at the RCHK before and they're fantastically good.

Or
You can buy a bottle of Veuve at the local supers for HK$380 and drink at downstairs at the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade, an approximat 5 minute walk from Hotel; same view just 118 floors below..... but what a savings!

Looks great. The biggest negative is, of course, that it's in Kowloon.

So you get a $30 bottle of bubbly combined with the right to sit in a chair?

Correction : That would be a AUD$70-75 bottle of NV (non-vintage) Veuve Cliquot, at average retail pricing.
... but still agree that the package is somewhat expensive. One for the 'once-off' if at all, experience, I guess? :-)
