Ritz-Carlton plants its flag in Hungary this week with the debut of The Ritz-Carlson, Budapest hotel, formerly the Elizabeth Park Hotel and bought out by the global chain: situated in the heart of the city’s cultural, historic and shopping districts and minutes away from the iconic Danube River.
Housed within a 1910s-era historic building and located on Elizabeth Square, guests can enjoy views over St Stephens Basilica from many of the 170 guestrooms and 30 suites, which reflect a cool and relaxed palate in reflection of the river nearby.
Further, guests on the Club Levels receive access to the hotel’s Club Lounge which offers a dedicated concierge team and food and beverages throughout the day, and for something more substantial, Deak Street Kitchen serves up Hungarian-inspired dishes with a focus on seafood and grilled meat.
Also on-site is the Kupola Lounge for a leisurely farmer’s market breakfast or light lunch, while the nearby and similarly-named Kupula Bar – yes, Kapula with a ‘u’ – specialises in cocktail service amidst a sophisticated atmosphere.
In your downtime, you’re free to work out in the fitness centre on the top of the building, to take a dip in the indoor pool or indulge in a massage in one of three treatment rooms, while the ballroom and five meeting rooms stand ready for functions, discussions and events.
