As far as concerts are concerned, all the Amex concierge will do is call Ticketek for you and have you on the other line, may as well do it yourself

Ok, as at this morning I got to P1, and I rang the P1 service centre, yes they did confirm that you can use the double status promo towards attaining/retaining P1.  So that answers the question, thanks everyone for your comments.

I got an email, there are 2 promos, one is double points on qantas/emirates and the other is double status (book between 4/9-8/9) for all eligible qantas flights, domestic and international.

Apparently this particular promotion does not allow you to get to Plat One, I just spent the better part of half an hour clarifying this with the FF service centre.  Does anyone else know anything about this?  She said some double status promos do allow and some don't, this particular o...
