How Julia Roberts, George Clooney and co skipped hotel quarantine
Oct 27, 2021, 04:41 PMThere really is no issue. It’s about what someone is willing to pay in a (relatively) free, aka liberal, economy. When I came home in January this year I paid for a first class seat to be as sure as I could in uncertain times and moving goalposts that I would not be bumped from the fl...

Australia hotel quarantine costs: Sydney now charging $3,000 user-pays
Apr 14, 2021, 11:26 PMAs someone who received and paid the $3k invoice I have no intention of trying to claim a refund. I was out of the country for almost a decade and have zero issue paying for quarantine as I have not paid taxes here for a number of years and I do not expect my fellow citizens to pay for me.&...

Hilton Sydney's $25 million refurbishment rethinks business desks
Feb 03, 2021, 06:58 PMJohn, I didn't think they'd been refurbed from my last visit a number of years ago. That said, they were perfectly adequate. My travel plans once restrictions are lifted? I will be returning home (to the Hunter) from Toronto as soon as feasible/possible - on a one-wa...

Earliest check-in/bag drop for EK413 from SYD?
Feb 07, 2020, 09:38 AM3 hours . I had same wish back in late Nov., wanted to maximise my time in F lounge. Ended up waiting about 40 minutes in the terminal for EK check in to open. (I was in transit from a domestic flight and they'd been unable to give me a boarding card for onward flights on EK).

Cathay Pacific - Still Worth the Money in Business?
Jan 25, 2020, 10:20 AMI've always felt 'underwhelmed' by CX business. Never my first choice. A premium price over other carriers (maybe not right now with the HK protests). Wine selection is poor, the IFE is average at best. And, as a woman travelling solo, my experience has been that of a second class citizen. Maybe...

DFW international to domestic transfer assistance
Oct 13, 2019, 12:42 AMHi Tracie - You could try "Blacklane Pass", they offer meet and greet / terminal transfer services at DFW. Might be around the USD200 mark, but worth it with only 90 minutes and elderly parents. Good luck.
