Kind of. Government fares do not earn points, but they do earn status credits. The traveller is entitled to keep the SCs. Some Government tickets also come with lounge access regardless of class of travel (i.e. VA).

I think you'll find that a lot of companies have this policy, but the cost of a flexi fare, vs. the risk of things changing that dramatically lead to non-flex tickets the majority of the time. That is my experience at my last four employers anyway... Unless you are a consultant and can on-charge ...

I think QFF has already been devalued enough. Surely the lounge would be basically empty if it was only OW F passengers.
