For those who weren't already aware, EK also introduced their own 'smartgates' at the entrance to Concourse C Business Lounge in November. Just scan boarding passes & go through the gates. Big improvement on the old queues waiting for the next attendant.

The seat /control layout, side table & dual height foot area resemble EK business minus the bling & questionable mini-bar (which may be preferable to some). Are they from the same supplier?

Good user-centric changes. Our recent Hughes driver mentioned it would be a heavy blow to the previous contractor Brunel. Heard Emirates are also terminating their Dubai contractor in June after >25 years.

Thanks Chris and all good points.Another one is when travelling on EK; when using Chauffeur Drive at DXB, your boarding pass is the best ID for a fast getaway. Passport may also do the job but will result in more questions that cause delays when queues are long.

Welcome common sense move that should cover the majority of business traveller needs. Will still need enforcement for non-ff holiday shoppers.Wondering what if any changes will be made to align international regs for consistency with connecting passengers.Also interested to see if EK will change ...
