Aloft Perth Rivervale opening in 2016: Starwood's first Aloft hotel in Australia
Starwood’s Aloft Hotels brand will reach Australian shores in 2016 with the opening of a new Perth hotel.
Aloft Perth Rivervale will feature 224 loft-like rooms, complementing Starwood’s existing Four Points by Sheraton in the city and the upcoming Westin Hotel, due to open in the Western Australia capital in early 2017.
Stephen Ho, Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Asia Pacific President remarks that the Aloft Perth Rivervale targets “the next generation of travellers who appreciate urban-influenced design, accessible technology and live music performances at the signature W XYZ bar”.
Located just east of Perth’s CBD, the hotel will feature the ‘Re:fuel’ one-stop grab & go food and beverage area, along with a full-service restaurant and the signature W XYZ bar.
When it comes time to relax, hotel guests can make use of a fitness centre, a swimming pool with an outdoor terrace area, almost 6,000 square feet of meeting space and additional rooftop function space.
“Perth is undergoing a rapid transformation with the opening of restaurants, bars and retail outlets and a $750 million investment in its airport, all of which are creating a growing need for new, innovative and affordable accommodations,” said Matthew Fry, Starwood’s Senior Vice President, Acquisitions & Development, Asia Pacific.
Aloft Perth Rivervale will join Starwood’s growing portfolio in Australia, which now comprises eleven operating hotels across the country with the opening of the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel.
