"Seat 2B or not 2B?" is indeed the question which British Airways cabin crew may be tempted to pose to travellers this year.
As part of a UK celebration of the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare, British Airways will be adding eleven of the Bard's best loved plays to its inflight entertainment.
These "fully dramatised" audio versions feature many of Britain's favourite actors including Sir Ian McKellen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kenneth Branagh, Ewan McGregor, Michael Sheen and Kate Beckinsale.
The plays are Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, Hamlet, King Lear, Othello, Henry V, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, Richard III and Julius Caesar.
The British flag-carrier's roster of inflght video also features performances of several of Shakespeare's plays.
The airline also reports that a survey by the Audio Publishers Association found that audiobooks are now among the most popular form of entertainment with long distance travellers, with 25% of people surveyed in the UK and US claiming they regularly listen to audiobooks.
