British Airways opens new-look Aberdeen business class lounge
British Airways is building on its new-look lounge network with the opening of a space space at Aberdeen.
BA's Aberdeen lounge – which is open to business class passengers along with top-tier BA Executive Club and Oneworld frequent flyers – might not have the swanky Euro-chic feel of its recently-opened cousin in Rome but it's a clean contemporary design all the same.
And then there's that granite-topped bar, which is shaping up to become an iconic centrepiece of British Airways lounges.
Opened after a year-long makeover, BA's Aberdeen lounge also enjoys plenty of natural light and offers views across the runway.
Note the abundance of AC and USB sockets along the top of those benches: BA tells us the lounge is up to the task when it comes to meeting the needs of technology-toting travellers.
If you're less about the tech and more about a tipple then it's back to the bar, which is well-stocked with beers, wine and spirits to complement the food, which for early morning flights includes local delicacy Aberdeen Rowies (a savoury, very buttery Scottish bread roll).
The lounge is decorated with local artwork from the airline’s art collection, including ‘The Long Winding Shores’ by Maddie Rose Hills inspired by Kinlochewe in the Scottish Highlands.
Next on BA's new-look lounge list is New York's JFK Terminal 7, which the airline says will additionally see "improvements being made to the customer experience at check-in," with Geneva, San Francisco, Johannesburg and Chicago also on the slate.

Looking forward to using this in a couple of weeks time. Good to see that they have rowies as the previous lounge didn't stock them!

Bodes reasonably well for the forthcoming upgrades of the LHR lounges, which is badly needed.

The bar area looks exactly like the one in Rome. Nice lounge, but let's hope it has toilets (the one in Rome doesn't)

Be nice to win some Oilfield OE work in the Granite City so I could make a visit again! Enjoyed working for BP in Dyce on trips from Oz a few years back. And direct flights to London from Perth make it possible! Oil patch is getting smaller every day!!!
