Domestic flights departing from Sydney International.
Hi all. Could anyone out there please tell me if Jetstar or Qantas still fly the odd domestic flight departing from Sydney International or Melbourne International. I heard a rumour that they used to do this in the past but am not sure if they still do it now. If they do, what flight numbers should I look out for? The reason I ask is the misses does not have a passport (long story) and I think that she would get a real kick out of wining and dining in the Qantas first lounge.

Just spoke to jetstar and they are trying to tell me that i cant take the syd to mel leg and that I would have to take the whole flight. Surely there is a way around this. Any tips?

Book the trip via the Jetstar website.

Yes, as Chris says, just use the JQ website - and there's nothing to stop you booking just the domestic leg of SYD-MEL or MEL-SYD.

Issue with the 'no passport' for your wife:
"For flights from an international terminal you’ll need to check in earlier and show your passport OR photographic identification issued by the Australian government." Ref: http://www.jetstar.com/au/en/planning-and-booking/at-the-airport/airports-and-terminals

It's no issue at all: state driver licences can be used as a form of identification on domestic 'D Sticker' flights.

Sorry about that. I should of been more specific. She cant fly international as she does not have passport. That's why I was interested in a domestic Jetstar of Qantas flight from the international terminal so that she could experience the qantas first lounge.
