Hi guys, I have a question about the upcoming changes to CX's marco polo club.
The requirements for silver tier is 300 tier points. Say I currently have 200 tier points and in my next flight I will earn 200 tier points. CX's website states that club point gets reset when you progress into the next tier. So if I earn the 200 tier points, would:
A) there will be 100 points in my account and I am in the silver tier. The 100 tier points will count towards the next tier meaning I only need 500 points for gold. Or:
B) there won't be any points in my account and I will have to earn 600 points for gold
Thanks!

You'll have the points that is calculated by Cathay Pacific, it might be different from the points calculator.
To see the points you'll have, login and go to "A New Chapter for the Marco Polo Club". In "way to earn" section. Click "New club points, earning grid and calculator". Scroll down and you'll see it. The calculator is for the points you'll earn from departures after 1st Apr
Hope it helps!

Ive been wondering this for a while now,
Im assuming it will be A as that is whats happening at current when your club miles are credited and you go up a tier... fingers crossed!

B is correct . CX will not carry over points ,never have .I have lost thousands of miles over the years when my account is reset and any miles over at that time are lost .The mileage account is reset to zero and according to the revisions will remain the same and in fact it will be considerably more difficult to gain status .
