So, we can now earn qf points by booking on airbnb...or can we, or at what price?
I looked up a property I was interested in without using qf connection as I had forgotten about that . The property was listed as $72 thats total of everything.
Then I remembered that I could get point by signing in via QF.....
Lo and behold, the same property on the same date was now $99...
checked that all the info was identical......so, is this a scam?
Have any other members had experiences like this????
I don't feel so bad now, I booked $2800 worth of Airbnb in the USA over Christmas/New Year and only realised afterwards that I forgot to do it via QF, seems that was a good thing after all!!
I had a airbnb in Osaka last week. When I booked, I was first quoted $172. It was confirmed at $199 (4 nights). Not sure if that is due to currency changes and/or QF linked. There didn't appear to be any changes in price to the Seoul booking right before the Osaka stop, also booked via the QF link.
Yes I experienced this as well. Roughly about a 30% knock on. Frequant Flyers is a business so going through them will always cost you. It was more interesting that Air B N B took the risk with this. I ended up booking a room through another site. Not a massive fan of such a money grab.

I just tried to check this before making more Airbnb bookings. I picked a couple of Sydney properties and via the Qantas Airbnb portal or direct through Airbnb (while logged in and logged out) the prices were the same?? I tried it over two different browsers as well, so via Qantas on one and via Airbnb on the other. I'll check it again before confirming any more bookings but so far I'm not seeing a markup via the QF FF portal?
