With respect to WiFi in airports a handy discussion article set could be .. what airports provide general WiFi irrespective of 'tier level' or lounge privileges.

Sometimes I just want to access WiFi quickly without entering a lounge (when available). Some airline apps require WiFi to display your boarding pass, some allow a 'local save' of the Boarding Pass sans WiFi.

Some airports ie: SYD, SRQ (Sarasota FL) adopt the 'airport supplies it' infrastructure model, others often use an external telecom sponsored provider (ATT or GoGo) or airline-sponsored provider (JetBlue) which requires 'sign-up' of various complexity levels. It could be useful to have an ongoing editable Community Airport WiFi thread (essentially an online Excel reference spreadsheet or similar) where airports could be listed by Continent / Country with basic WiFi information.

I would like to see more on what's available in the Airports themselves, I am QF Gold but find the lounge quite like a morgue on many occasions so like to get out have a drink etc in some of the bars. I guess we were a bit spoilt during the mining boom and AUSBT was full of articles about regional airports, new services, lounges etc as well as accomodation options, now they are very rare.

So do the admins have a comment on this topic? Will we see some economy coverage on AusBT?

Any update on this? I'm guessing the management decided against including economy class, no?
