Some 12 months ago, Qantas launched it's Red Portal Panel. After joining members are sent questionnaires and have the possibility of earning QFF points for their input.
For those who are members, what has your experience with this site been?
Satisfactory / Unsatisfactory?
Performance?
Suitability of 'rewards'?
Design of website?
Relevance of your personal 'demographic' to the surveys sent?
Quality of surveys?
To be clear, I am NOT associated with either QF or the Red Panel Portal. My involvement is simply as a member of Red Panel Portal and as a member of QFF's program. I am interested to find your impressions of the program.
I dont mind it every now and again. What I find is unfair is that you will be 75% into a survey and the it will say you dont fill the requirements or we have too many alrerady. And provide no points. they have just then been provided free information. I want my 75% of the points that were origionally advertised. I am not a charity
I've been a member since it was launched. I have a crack at each survey that is sent to me.
Satisfactory
OK - there are periods where I don't qualify for any surveys, then others where I get into all of them.
It's a points for time exchange. I generally can get through even the longer ones in 15+ mins and I'm prepared to invest that for some points
There's two aspects to this - the Red Portal (which is OK) and then the specific survey sites that launch. From what I understand from looking at the page source code, different commissioning vendors will use different survey platforms - some are good - some are clunky pieces of junk

Anthony,
I was invited a a focus group that was run by Red Portal - the host did note that they are making some changes to better qualify who they target and to also minimise the don't fit reject issue.
It should be a great way to survey a significant population at a low cost.
Unfortunately they made the participant experience so poor, whether it be the late determination that people aren't eligible for points or generally substandard functionality and design, that I withdrew from being a participant.

I think the recent decision to provide a minimum of 15 Qantas Points per survey is a good one, even if you're determined to be 'not the right fit'. In some cases where lots of questions are asked before this is determined, that's boosted to 50 Qantas Points.
Better than 0 points and an easy way to keep your points balance trickling up, if you're part of the panel.

It is a huge missed opportunity in my view.
