Hi
We're travelling through Changi, flying SIA. My partner is Velocity Platinum and I am Gold. As we're flying Economy we'll have access to KrisFlyer Gold Lounge. From the reviews and feedback I've read, it's a pretty basic lounge.
I understand there is one both in T2 and T3. Is there any difference between the 2? Are they both without bathrooms?
Thanks in advance for your input

T3 is slightly better, but not really by much. No toilets in T2, can't remember T3. It has been awhile since I've been in the T3 Gold lounge tbh.

The T3 one is a tad more glamorous than the T2 one. The T2 one is much darker, with less natural light surrounding it. Like the T3 set up, toilets are outside, which is a hassle in itself. The food options on offer were about the same time the last time I used them both a few months ago.

Apparently both dnata Lounge in T1 and T3 is much nicer than KrisFlyer Gold lounge T3, there's more food options, barista-made Hudsons Coffee, nicer and newer decoration, and T3 lounge has lots of natural lights, and its accessible by Priority Pass.

Both lounges are really basic. Toilets outside with limited food and drink options. For SIA's home port they are very disappointing. As a previous post highlighted, T2 gets very busy, particularly in the morning and has that "bus station" feeling, T3 not much better. Don't expect a welcoming smile from the staff. I dont understand why Gold travellers in Economy and Premium Economy cant use the SilverKris lounge. Surely the real estate and staff cost must outweigh cost of a few extra bodies in the better lounge?

Not to mention that the SilverKris lounge is about 8 times the size...

I find T2 just a little better, but there is not much in it. As a single traveler I often wait close to the Silverkris lounge entrance and politely ask someone entering to take me in as their guest. 7 out of the last 7 times when traveling economy or premium economy this has worked. When I travel business I look for Singapore economy travelers and repay the favor.

I have to say I prefer the lounge in T2. I've found the food to be generally better (maybe because there is more space) and I think it has a nicer ambience (outside of peak times). That back area of the lounge in T3 feels like some kind of bad waiting room.

silverkris caters to those travelling that have purchased business class and first class tickets, it also has the private room in T3 hence its size. The Gold lounge is for anyone travelling economy and premium but has gold status, if you have paid for a business class seat or first and have gold status you wont be going to the gold lounge, you will head straight to the silverkris lounge thats for sure.
