Does anyone know what airline is best to use travelling in Russia? I have to go between Moscow and Sochi for a meeting and don’t know whether to choose Aerfoflot or S7?
From my understanding, Aeroflot is more expensive however offers more of a premium experience (full service carrier) and S7 is a low cost carrier. It depends on what you would prefer and whether you think it is worth paying extra for more service, Aeroflot or don’t need the gimmicks, and lower price, S7 is the way to go. Have a nice trip!
Aeroflot is generally a nicer experience than S7. Catering is better, don't have to pay extra for baggage & the aircraft are better inside. S7 are still fine though.
If you are connecting from other flights into/out of Moscow you might need to take that into consideration. Aeroflot mainly flies from the hub in Moscow Sheremetyevo whilst S7 is from Moscow Domodedovo Airport. Travelling between these airports are quite a distance.

S7 is a oneworld partner, so if you are a 1w member eg QF FF, you get points and status points plus use of lounges if eligable

In terms of getting to your destination reliably and safely - both are fine. Neither will be particularly good on that short of a domestic flight

S7 is not an LCC. It's not better or worse than Aeroflot, and you will get where you're going safe, in one piece and more or less happy.

Correct. Many thanks @maxkraynov.
oneworld does not permit 'LCC' carriers as a full member.
