With the altitude, just drink a little bit more water than normal to help with dehydration. Denver has a very dry climate with wide temperature fluctuations. Depending on your work location, the Tech Center has a number of steakhouse and bar type options but is in more of a suburban type setting. Other popular areas include LoDo in the downtown district and Cherry Creek for shopping. Denver has a big craft brewery scene with local breweries seemingly everywhere. RTD is the light rail system and can get you to most of the higher traffic spots in Denver from the Tech Center. Also, the Denver airport is quite a distance away from the city core as well.

If flying into Denver and you don't wish to rent a car, commuter & light rail are affordable options to get to CBD hotels from Denver International Airport. It’s only $9 from the airport to downtown and takes 37 minutes. By comparison, a car will take approximately 45-48 mins to downtown. Additionally, both Uber and Lyft are available as pickup options.
Denver also has a comprehensive rail and bus network throughout the city. It's a modern, fun city with an abundance of sports bars and some fine dining restaurants. The Colorado set are big on outdoor sports, so lots of mountaineering walks and whitewater rafting experiences are common.

Read about the Denver airport conspiracy theories. They're hilariously interesting.
