A recent article in the Points Guy wrote about American Airlines "Helix Score" system that rates passengers and if they will bend the rules for them.
Does anyone know if Qantas and/or Virgin also have such a rating system?Â

So yes Qantas does have a passenger "customer value" rating system, PCV, managing customer disrupted journey's. I wonder if the system has been enhanced to incorporate other situations since the 2015 article.

Would be interesting to see if QF apply a whole of business rating to a customer, it is possible a P1 corporate would have a lower rating than a Silver with Qantas Club who also purchases wine from QF and has QF health insurance for example.

Some passengers treat the Qantas staff as they would like to be treated themselves .I have never had a problem from Qantas Staff

I'm QF Platinum though my business and a QF staff traveller via my wife's job. Can definitely tell you which is better, and it's not staff travel! The latter gives you no guarantee of even getting on a flight (it's space available); no guarantee of where you'll be seated despite any upgrade entitlement, no lounge access even if your a Qantas Club member or Gold/Platinum FF, and so it goes. It's also nowhere as cheap as it used to be, and once on board you're not guaranteed a meal. Then there's the chance you bags will go on a different flight if you're held at check-in until the last minute, due to heavy loads, before the having to do the 'run of shame' to make the flight. Give me first class lounge access, priority seat allocation and boarding, and all the other benefits of being 'commercial' any day...
