Hi All,

I'll be flying out of MEL Domestic next week, using the Qantas Club for the first time since the refurbishment works have started. How have people found the disruption in terms of space and food/beverage service? Is it as bad as I'm anticipating?

Thanks!

Are you Gold or Qantas Club member? Be aware the Qantas website says they are not accepting single entry passes during the renovations.

When I was there on a Friday afternoon a few weeks ago, it was much more crowded than I'm used to. I couldn't find a seat without having to share a table, and I couldn't get one near a power point. The food service seemed to be much the same as usual though the bar/coffee was slow. However Melbourne's not my home port so I don't use that lounge much and I'm not sure how it compares to other times.

Note also that they're not accepting guests in peak times either.

How busy it is depends on how busy a time of day it is and how many of those with access happen to be flying that day and rock up to the lounge.
