I booked an upcoming business trip through Asia during the recent Qantas Double Status Credit promotion. It now looks like I need to change the date of one leg of the journey. I vaguely remember the T&Cs stating that any changes in the itinerary made outside the promotion period would invalidate the double SCs.
Can anyone confirm if this is the case and (if so) how rigidly this is enforced?
As long as the origional PNR does not change and you fly within the flying period some time in mid Jan 19 they should post. It has been that way for the past couple of years.
I agree with Matt, I changed a Dbl SC flight and still received the credits. Call the FF Support team to ensure you are within the period. They will go through the fine print with you.
A long as the Booking ref PNR doesn't change and they are within the dates it is fine. I tend to book a few (double status offers) flights on flexible fares when they are available to places I know I need to go to in the forthcoming year, and then change the dates when the meeting, conference, holiday, my calendar is free etc, are confirmed. They have been always credited. This is a way for QF to get cash flow when booking are seasonally low.
Sounds you guys got luckier than me. I'm pretty sure the fine print says no changes. Also, I once changed a reservation booked with a 50% extra SC promo (targeted), and didn't get the extra SCs.
I booked an economy class flight during the double SC offer that I’d like to change to business class to get extra SCs. Does anyone know will I get double credits on the full business class award rate if I do pay to change it?

I wouldn’t call QF about this. If you get the DSC you get them, if you don’t you don’t.

I do the changes on the phone and double check it is going to happen. Worth the $80+ fee.

Likely answer would be No. I doubt if QF be that generous.
