With this $450 travel credit, the only way to redeem it is by booking a QF flight through Amex travel, is that right ?
How do we contact "Amex travel" is there a website or telephone number ?
With such QF flights booked through Amex travel, do we still get the bonus point per dollar or does this only apply to QF purchases where QF is the merchant such as off the QF website ?
Lastly, will any promos that QF currently has be reflected through Amex travel ? Do travel agents normally honour prices if the carrier has a sale on their website ?
I have booked AA flights in the US with this credit. Last year I booked QF domestic flights. The AA flights I booked online and the QF flights I booked by ringing AMEX. You can ring AMEX and there is a number you press after ringing for Amex travel.
You can easily book online using the travel tab of the Amex website. The prices and options reflect what is offers online with Qantas. I’m my experience you also get the bonus points for buying Qantas product with the card despite not buying direct from Qantas. When using this credit, I believe you won’t get any change if the value of your purchase is less than $450. So best to use when spending over this amount. There is a great article on this card on This website somewhere.
Can I book more than one ticket for family members (on one booking) using the 450$ credit? In understand that this credit is per calendar year. What about the annual fee, is it also per calendar year or on a 12 months rolling basic. TIA.
I've booked domestic an international flights with my credit, and received double status on those booking. It's much better now you can just use the website, when you login it'll show your credit amount up the top and when you go to pay it'll ask if you'd like to use the credit towards payment.
In terms of the credit, it is a year from the month you signed up, not based around a calender year. So if you joined in march, it'll reset in march.
I’ve book several Qantas flights through the Amex Travel website and used my $450 credit each time in full, and received all points etc. Even upgraded to business class on the qantas website after the booking had gone through with my qantas points.
I've just tried to use the Travel Credit for flights to NZ on the AMEX site - like i did last year - and the return cost was $420 more than on Qantas' website! I called AMEX and they said they woudl not be reflecting any offers or special prices/sales going forward. No point to the travel credit anymore then! It appears the website recognises you have the credit....

Hey all,
Complimentary Qantas Wine Premium membership
Worth $99 a year, a premium membership to Qantas Wine, food & champagne portal gives you a bonus 3 points per $ spent as well as free delivery.
But can’t work out how to sign up WITHOUT paying the $99.
Thanks!
