Just a heads-up for any AusBT readers planning to fly from Melbourne to Fiji (Nadi)... finally you'll no longer need to cool your heels in Virgin's own T3 domestic lounge before making you way to T2 for the flight itself. Virgin Australia has advised us that as of July 1, "Business Class guests and Velocity Platinum and Gold members travelling from Melbourne to Nadi will be welcomed into the Plaza Premium Lounge."

For those interested, here's our review of Melbourne's Plaza Premium lounge: https://www.ausbt.com.au/plaza-premium-lounge-review-melbourne-international-airport-terminal-2

I doubt VA will ever get lounge access in Nadi unless they can strike a deal with FJ (doubtful as they're competing) or NZ (doubtful due to the split up).

Plaza Premium look to have done a great job, but I can't get past how complex our lounge programs/systems are compared to say UA and AC. (One worldwide membership for all Star Alliance lounges when on a Star Alliance ticket).
